All players need the same mods
Paper is the most widely used Minecraft server in the world: much faster than vanilla, compatible with Bukkit and Spigot plugins, and full of gameplay fixes. With Geyser and Floodgate, Bedrock players can join as well. If you are unsure, Paper is the right choice.
Best for survival, minigame and community servers running plugins — and for cross-play with phone and console.

Our recommendation: Paper-compatible Java with Geyser/Floodgate · Java players and Java plugins fit a Paper-compatible server.

Unlimited player slots in every plan
Geyser and Floodgate are configured for this supported Paper/Bukkit stack. Bedrock players use an additional UDP port; consoles may need an additional connection method.
After creation you browse the plugin catalogue right inside the server panel (EssentialsX, WorldEdit, LuckPerms and many more) and install with a single click — no FTP, no manual JAR upload. You can edit the configuration files in the panel afterwards.

Only explicitly allowed players may join. Manage the whitelist in the server panel after ordering.
Allows Java players to join without a verified Microsoft / Minecraft account. You can change the mode in the server panel at any time.
The required login protection cannot be provided safely for Minecraft 1.21.11. Choose a version between 1.8 and 1.21.1 to order offline / cracked mode.

Allows combat between players.
World
Determines the generated world. Leave empty for a random world. Only takes effect on the very first world generation.
We pre-generate the world around spawn. This temporarily uses significant CPU, memory, and disk, so the server may respond more slowly. Run it before players first join and allow enough free disk space.
Your server's own exclusive IP address — connect directly via the IP, no port suffix needed.
Set up for your server after you order, usually in under 10 minutes. Until then, your server runs on the normal address.

Which Minecraft server fits your group?
Your clients determine the first choice. Plugins, mods and the world you plan to build then determine the server type. Use these pointers to agree on that choice with your friends before placing an order.
- Start with Minecraft: choose an edition or modpack first
- Check the resources and total monthly price before paying
- Manage your world through the console, files and manual backups
- Cancel monthly renewal when your group stops playing
Java and Bedrock: agree on your clients first
Ask your friends which Minecraft edition they actually launch. Java Edition and Bedrock Edition are separate systems; matching version numbers do not make them a shared server. For a Java group, you can then choose a server type for vanilla, plugins or mods. If you play Bedrock, start with the Bedrock selection. A Java server alone does not promise crossplay. When your group uses different editions, check the connection options before buying rather than at your first group login.
Plugins extend the server; modpacks change your game setup
For protected areas, permissions or other server-side extensions, a plugin server such as Paper is a different starting point from a modpack. A modpack selection also involves the Minecraft version and loader. Use the catalogue to select an available package from Modrinth or CurseForge, and check the version offered. Your friends need the matching client installation. A package with the same name but a different version may fail to connect. Compare the exact pack versions before starting your world.
Choose RAM for your world and modpack
A small vanilla world and a large modpack have different requirements. Explored chunks, active machines and extra plugins also change the load. The displayed RAM recommendation helps you get started, but does not guarantee a fixed number of simultaneous players. Select the resources in the configurator and review the summary. The monthly price shown there is what matters for your order; a starting price does not necessarily describe the resources your modpack needs. Check your plans and your shared budget together.
After provisioning: connect, check settings and save your world
Once your server is ready, its connection details and management are available in your customer area. Share the server address with your friends and check the console during the first start. It can reveal version problems or missing mod dependencies. You can edit files and settings through the web panel. Create a manual backup before making major changes to your world. Cancelling renewal does not replace a backup: keep your own copy of the world when your group finishes playing.
